McDonald's Lime Quarry

McDonald's Lime quarry is situated among the rich limestone of the Waitomostrata.

Underneath the topsoil, ash and silt stone covering the 67 hectare property, is a deposit of exceptionally high grade limestone - much of it with a purity exceeding 95 per cent. This high yielding deposit has proven reserves for 40 years of production at full capacity.
