Olsen Phosphorus

Olsen Phosphorus (Olsen P) is used as a standard measure of the size of the plant-available P pool in soils. In New Zealand it is more reliable than the acid extracts used overseas, but may become less effective in the presence of high concentrations of calcium in the soil solution.
